The Veterans Resource Network, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to serving today's veterans, has organized a project called "Operation Care Packages"; providing each Idaho deployed soldier with community support a care package by the end of December. There are over 800 Idaho National Guard and Reservist stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a significant number of active duty personnel in all branches of the military. In addition to items for the care packages, donations are needed to cover postage to mail the packages.
